Yao Yai Resort is the first Resort in Koh Yao Yai and is started by a a Pioneer From Holland(who has Mediterranean roots) with a lot of experience in Higher Hotel School The Haque/Holland.

We are at the best beach in Koh Yao Yai and Koh Yao Noi, where you can swim 24 hours a day and save and comfortable through the hole year.

Why the best beach..?

Here the difference between High and Low tide is maximum 20 meters and it’s the ONLY ONE, all the OTHER beaches the difference is like 300 till 800 meters and are always rocky and/or mudy and swimming
Is possible only for 30 minutes a day and above all Yao Yai beach Resort has the sunset in front.

Yao Yai beach Resort started in 2001 , and as a pioneer had the chance to choose the best beach and the best spot. Built on 4000 squire meters with 75 meters beachfront, all our Bungalows are on the beach between 10 and 35 meters. We have always a nice breeze from the Sea or Land to gives you a nice comfort

The Bungalows are renovated in 2008/2009, and all Bungalows have private bathrooms with modern facilities, made for your comfort with natural surroundings. About 80% of our Bungalows are made of wood, to give you the feeling you are sleeping on the beach with the waves and wake up by birds.
We see on the Internet some negatief things about our Beach and Place, Please Do not believe everything what people write, some of them write negatief and promote other places, ONLY for a free Lunch or Diner.

3 years ago we were in a German news paper DAS BILD and they promoted us as a TIP PLACE, the best you can get in KOH YAO. Please have a look at TripAdvisor website.

The Island is the last Island still untouched by mass tourism, the Locals ( 9000 people) love to keep their Island clean and simple. You will get back in Time like 25 years ago and discover Real Thailand while everything around us is developing and changing ( Phuket , Phang Nga, Krabi, Koh Yao Noi)

The people are super friendly and have not seen to much tourism and are also interested to see new people.

They are living from Fishing, Rubber plantations, Cashew and Coco Nuts We have no Banks, Shopping Malls Bars on the Island, only at the Resorts you can get Alcohol, Creditcard Payments.

Ferry captains from Phi Phi Islands to Krabi and Phuket say they see dolphin once a month, mainly from February until September. These dolphin sightings can be made going to Phuket or Krabi Provinces but mainly in low season and often are accompanied by bad weather from the Indian Ocean in the west.

The Dolphins seem to come into the shallows during these periods. perhaps the feeding is better in these conditions. We ware lucky and surprised to see them from our beach just couple of meters in to the see. The third picture show the tail part of our longtail boat lifted from the water so that the beautifull creatures can swim about freely. This the the PLACE where you can say I AM ON HOLIDAY.
